Tirsdag den 25. juni 2019 offentliggør brandet Karl Lagerfeld, at det indgår samarbejde med L’Oréal Paris. Initiativet til samarbejdet er taget af Karl selv, og fire måneder efter Kejserens død offentliggøres så en af hans sidste forretningsbeslutninger.
Det er næppe gået din næse forbi, at den legendariske, ikoniske, famøse og hævet-over-alle-andre Chanel-designer, Karl Lagerfeld, afgik ved døden tilbage i februar 2019.
Men hvis nogen skulle markere sin status som en af modens mest magtfulde personer længe efter sin død, så skulle det naturligvis være Karl, og det gør han da også til stadighed den dag i dag.
Ingen er for alvor kommet sig over Karl Lagerfelds død, og så sent som torsdag den 20. juni 2019 gik modehusene Chanel, Fendi og Karl Lagerfeld sammen om at hylde deres fælles afdøde boss, Kejser Karl.
En uge senere rumsterer designeren igen, idet brandet Karl Lagerfeld tirsdag den 25. juni 2019 offentliggør et eksklusivt samarbejde med L’Oréal Paris.
Duoen deler netop nu den nyhed, at de præsenterer en makeup-kollektion den 20. september 2019 under Paris Fashion Week S/S 2020 – mens den globale lanceringsdato for produkterne vil falde ugen efter, nemlig den 27. september 2019.
Initiativet til samarbejdet er ifølge Karl Lagerfeld og L’Oréal Paris taget af Karl selv, men desværre må det realiseres uden den kreative masterminds tilstedeværelse – dog vil samarbejdet bære tydelige præg af den nu afdøde designer.

”Denne makeup-kollektion reflekterer virkelig brandet Karl Lagerfelds univers og alt det, Karl Lagerfeld selv elskede ved makeup – han brugte fx ofte øjenskygge til at farve sine tegninger af nye designs”, fortæller Caroline Labar, der er Head of Communication hos Maison Karl Lagerfeld.
Og hos L’Oréal Paris er man da også særligt stolte af det upcoming projekt:
”For L’Oréal Paris er alle vores designsamarbejder en ære, men denne er særlig meningsfuld”, fortæller Delphine Viguier, der er Global Brand President hos L’Oréal Paris.
Karl Lagerfeld og L’Oréal Paris har endnu ikke afsløret billeder af samarbejdet, men de udtaler i fællesskab deres kollektive kærlighed til at hylde feminin power – så vi ser allerede frem til eksklusiv makeup-kollektion, der hylder kvinder!
