Et stort skomysterie har rumsteret i vores hoveder, lige siden et bestemt Sex and the City-afsnit så dagens lys i 2000. Nitten år senere er det endelig blevet opklaret takket være Sarah Jessica Parker og seriens stylist, Patricia Field.
Successerien Sex and the City er proppet med sjov, modig og fantastisk mode – og måske lige netop derfor, lader vi os stadig inspirere af seriens outfits, selvom det i år er præcis 15 år siden, sidste afsnit rullede over skærmen.
Vi kigger mod advokaten Miranda Hobbes, når vi gerne vil ligne en hardcore, men chik business-lady. Vi vender vores øjne mod Fifth Avenue og Charlotte York, når vi gerne vil afspejle luksuriøs overklasse á la hårbøjler og cardigans. Vi kigger mod den frimodige Samantha Jones, når vi gerne vil udfordre vores look til den mere afklædte side, og sidst men ikke mindst kigger vi mod det hippe Greenwich Village og Carrie Bradshaw i går, i dag og i morgen, når vi gerne vil være alt ovenstående og mere til.
Carrie Bradshaw havde uden tvivl nogle af seriens mest ikoniske looks, og du kan garanteret se de fleste styles levende for dig
Hvem husker ikke aviskjolen fra Dior? “The naked dress”? For slet ikke at tale om den pink Oscar de la Renta-kjole, som russeren Aleksandr Petrovsky forærede Carrie i sidste sæson.

Men når vi husker tilbage på de seks sæsoner fyldt med mode, er der særligt ét bestemt outfit fra den ikoniske serie, der har hjemsøgt os i årevis.
Sæson 3, episode 13,” Escape from New York”.
Carrie er taget til Los Angeles, fordi en Hollywood-produktion er interesseret i at forvandle klummen til det store lærred. Man må (til Carries store fortrydelse) ikke ryge på hotellet, så inden mødet med kvinden fra produktionsselskabet går hun, sammen med Miranda og Samantha, ud for at ryge en Marlboro Light – og her sker det!
Vi får et glimt af Carries fulde outfit, hvor det første, der ved hvert et gensyn springer i vores øjne, er de to forskelligfarvede sko.

19 år efter offentliggørelsen af afsnittet har vi endelig fået svar på spørgsmålet, vi har brudt vores hjerner med lige siden.
Instagram-profilen Every Outfit on Sex & the City postede for nyligt et billede af det omtalte outfit, og nu har både hovedpersonen, Sarah Jessica Parker, og seriens legendariske stylist, Patricia Field, svaret på gåden.
”Vi havde to par Christian Louboutin-sandaler. Pat og jeg valgte at bruge en fra hvert par. Måske fordi de begge var så lækre i farven og i harmoni med kjolen, men også fordi vi bare elskede at bruge en af hver”, kommenterede Sarah Jessica Parker på opslaget, og også stylisten Patricia Field gav sit besyv med: ”Sarah og jeg valgte af bruge en sko fra hvert par, fordi vi ikke kunne vælge, hvilken der var bedst, og de var begge perfekte til kjolen”.
Gåden er løst, og nu kan vi endelig se afsnittet uden at undre os.
